Mix equal parts of water and vinegar into a microwave safe bowl and place it into the oven,

Leave it on high setting for 6 minutes.

In the meantime the vinegar mixture turns into steam which helps dissolve the tough stains for easy cleaning.

You should find it very easy to clean off the stains.

Tip: You may want to add a few drops of citrus essential oil for better results.


2. Eliminate Soap Scum on Shower Glass 

Having hard water buildup or soap scums on your glass shower doors?

Have stubborn calcium buildup on your faucets that is impossible to clean?

Wrap kitchen towel around the affected areas on your faucet and pour vinegar directly onto the paper towel until it's soaking wet.

Let the vinegar sit for about 1-3 hours before removing the towel and scrubbing the remaining lime buildup with a used toothbrush.

Rinse and dry the faucet.

If you have trouble removing the lime buildup, let it soak for another hour and it should come off pretty easily.

  • All Purpose Cleaning Spray: Dilute the vinegar solution with 1 part vinegar, 1 part water to spray on household surfaces like your countertop, sink and floor. (Do Not use on marble or stone surfaces).
  • Carpet Deodorant: Use the all purpose cleaning spray (1 part scented vinegar 2 part water) to spray your carpet and leave it to dry.
  • Effective Microwave Cleaner: Combine 1/4 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup water into a microwave safe container and leave on high for 2 minutes, letting the vinegar steam dissolve the stains. Then, wipe with a microfiber cloth.
  • Freshen Your Fridge: Dip a microfiber cloth in equal parts of vinegar and water to wipe.
  • Fabric Softener: Simply Add a cup of vinegar during the rinse cycle to soften and deodorize the your laundries.
  • Deep Clean Your Toilet Bowl: Turn off your water supply and empty the water tank then, fill it up with vinegar. Next, stuff wet paper towel onto the water jet area and spray heavily with vinegar, letting it soak overnight. Remove the paper towel and flush out the vinegar.

5. Toilet Bowl Deep Cleaning Made Easy

Here are 3 simple steps to clean the toilet bowl surfaces

  1. Pour 1 cup of vinegar and 1/2 cup borax into the bowl and close the lid.
  2. Spray the bowl top down with an all purpose spray, and allow the solution to sit for 10-20 minutes.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the bowl with a kitchen towel and flush.

7.  Clean Your Coffee Maker

Vinegar is great at removing coffee stains

Run a mixture of equal parts of water and vinegar through the coffee maker.

Allow the mixture to sit in the coffee pot for about 20 minutes before scrubbing gently with a brush.

Run 2 cycles of regular water to flush out the remaining vinegar before brewing again.

Tip: If you have tough water marks that is hard to remove, add some baking soda and scrub.


8. Clean Your Wood Floors

Floor cleaners are expensive and unsustainable and they are not the best cleaning agent for your floors.

Vinegar helps to break down grease and dirt on wooden floors much more effectively.

Just add 2 cups of vinegar to a gallon of water the next time you mop the floor and you'll see the difference.

Add warm vinegar into a plastic bag and tie it over the shower head with a rubber band so that it's fully soaked.

The vinegar works to dissolve all the calcium buildup which unclogs the shower head

10. Eliminate Toilet Stench Instantly

If you want an instant vinegar cleaning spray, then essential oil infusion might be the way for you!

This is one of my favorites when i am out of vinegar sprays, it is easy to make, non-toxic and really effective too!

How to make essential oil Infused Vinegar

You'll need a cup of water, a cup of white vinegar, 20 drops of lemon essential oil and a clean spray bottle.

  1. Combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of white vinegar into a spray bottle
  2. Add 20 drops of lemon or peppermint essential oil & shake before use.
  3. Label the Bottle (To prevent mixing)

Incredibly Effective For:

  • Eliminating pee stench: If you have men or boys in the family, you probably have problems with the pee smell every so often. Simply Spray the bowl area to quickly remove the smell.

2. Kill Mold And Mildew

Create a mixture by combining a liter of water and 1 cup of borax into a spray bottle.

To remove mold or mildew, spray and saturate the affected area and leave it for 2 hours.

Use a little scrubbing to get the mold off then rinse with water.

To begin, add 1 cup of borax into your toilet bowl before going to bed.

To begin, boil a kettle of water.

Allow the mixture to sit for 2 minutes before pouring 1 quart of boiling water.

After 20 minutes, run the tap to clear the drain

To start, create a a mixture with 1/3 borax and 1/2 cup of baking soda and hot water.

With an old toothbrush, apply this mixture or paste onto the grout and let it sit for 10 minutes.

7. The Best Bathroom Tiles Cleaner

Borax and rust do not go together because Borax will react with rust and remove it.

But fret not!

You can create your own goo remover by combining 1 part borax with 2 parts water into a spray.

If you have annoying ants in your home, then you can create a borax sugar trap.

Here's what to do instead,

Fill a mug with 2 tbsp of borax, 4 drops of dawn dish soap and warm water then soak your combs and brushes in it for about an hour.

16. Cleans & Sterilize Linens 

To remove mildew and mustiness from your pillowcases and linen, simply follow these steps.

Remove all linens from your pillow and mattress

Place them into the washer, add warm water and half cup of borax.

Allow the linens to soak for 1-2 hours before washing in the machine.


17. Revive Old Dish Cloth

Most of us throw out dishcloth away after they get all greasy and musty.

Here's how Borax can save your cloth so you don't have to waste them away

First, boil a gallon of water

Add a a cup of borax to a pot of boiling water then add the dishcloth.

Soak for 2 minutes before add a few drops dawn dish soap to the mix.

Soak for another 20 minutes before rinsing and sundry.

Your dish cloth should be as good as new and don't have to be thrown away!


18. Clean the Sink

If so grab a cup of borax and a quarter cup of lemon juice and combine into a solution.

Spread the mixture onto the affected area or simply spread across the sink and scrub.

Once cleaned, rinse and wipe dry with a microfiber cloth for the best results.

If you happen to run out of baking soda and need an alternative to clean the refrigerator, you can use borax and here's how:

To do this, add 6 tbsp of borax and 3 quarts of water into the water tank of the humidifier.

Run the humidifier for about 30 minutes before emptying and rinsing with clean water.

30. Cleaning Porcelain Sinks

Porcelain can get stained easily with frequent use. 

To clean, make a paste with 1 cup of borax and quarter cup vinegar. Add more or less vinegar depending so that the paste isn't too watery.

With a sponge or microfiber cloth, rub the stain away with the paste and rinse with warm water.


31. Clean Patio Furniture

Instead of buying patio cleaners, you can use Borax as the cleaner.

Produce that we get from the supermarket are commonly sprayed with pesticides and we don't need them in our diet.

With baking soda you can easily remove pesticides and contaminants.

Here's how:

Fill a bowl with about 300 ml of water

    Add 2 tbsp of baking soda, stir until completely dissolved before gently brushing and then patting it dry.

    2. Eliminate Oven Grime & Stubborn Stains

      3. Make Some Natural Toilet Bombs

      Here's is a recipe that'll simplify your toilet cleaning routine.

      No more holding your breath each time you can clean the bathroom!

      Here's what you'll need for the natural toilet cleaner:

      • 1 cup of Baking soda
      • Quarter Cup Citric Acid
      • 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
      • 30 Drops of essential oil
      • 1 Tbsp hydrogen peroxide
      • 1 Large Mixing Bowl

      Here are the steps to make them:

      1. Add a cup of baking soda, 2 tbsp of lemon and quarter cup of citric acid into the large bowl and start whisking.
      2. Add 30 drops of tea tree oil and 1 tbsp hydrogen peroxide into the small bowl and combine
      3. Transfer the content in the small bowl over to the large one and whisk slowly, to prevent too much foaming.
      4. At this point, you should test if the mixture is of the right moisture. If the mixture does not hold its shape, add more baking soda and if it's too dry, add more hydrogen peroxide.
      5. If the moisture is right, add the mixture into a silicone mould or ice cube making mould and leave it to dry uncovered for 12 hrs.
      6. Store in a cool, dry place for future use.
